In the case of research articles with more than one author, one author is named the 'Corresponding Author', while the rest remain 'Co-Authors'. It is the responsibility of the Corresponding Author to ensure that all queries and uncertainties about the accuracy, authenticity, and integrity of any part of the research article that may arise at any point, are addressed appropriately and clarified.
It is the responsible of the Corresponding Author to see to that the following conditions are met -
*The responsibility of handling all lines of communication between the TGEJ journal and all involved co-authors during submission, proofing, and publication, may be assigned to a 'Contact Author' or 'Submitting Author'. In such cases, it is important to ensure that the Corresponding Author is explicitly designated in the manuscript.
When it comes to TGEJ's guidelines on Contribution Statements, it is important to refer to the 'Instruction for Authors' section on the left-hand side panel that is present on the TGEJ journal website. In the absence of any specific guidelines and in research specializations within the field of Biomedical Engineering where it is impossible to clearly define discrete efforts, TGEJ advises authors to include Contribution Statements as part of their submission. These Contribution Statements help in clearly defining the contribution of every author involved, so as to ensure that due credit is given for everyone's contributions and to promote complete transparency. These Contribution Statements must be mentioned at the conclusion of the submission of their manuscript.
